For ages 12U-15U and High School Players, season runs January through mid-October, with a break for school baseball in the Spring

The Dragons have created an exciting annual MLB-style Season that begins in January and concludes in mid-October. This structure better serves our member families, delivers more baseball value and allows us to schedule the majority of our outdoor baseball during the optimal weather months of May through September.
Winter Team Skills Training Program: January through March
Our season kicks off in January with a 12-week indoor Winter Team Skills Training Program. Baseball players are made in the off-season, and our winter program is invaluable in the development of the Dragons baseball players.
For players interested in additional specific winter training, there are multiple optional programs and clinics offered. Optional programs are à la carte and include:
Plyometric Training
Catcher Training
Pitcher Training
Arm Care and Development Program (Weighted Ball Program)
One-on-One Hitting Sessions with Coach Tony Laurento, Coach Jordan Pennings and additional Certified Instructors
Tournaments, Showcases & Outdoor Team Practice: April through mid-October
Team practices move outdoors in early April, with the tournament and showcase season beginning in April and continuing through mid-October. “Off Periods” are incorporated into each team schedule to allow for family vacations and any rescheduling of canceled events.
Team practices are held once or twice per week, usually at our home fields in West Chester or inside the Dragons Baseball Academy, our new 6,000+ sq.ft. indoor training facility. Dragons teams play in approx. 13 local and out-of-state tournaments in New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland, at venues such as The Ripken Experience Aberdeen, Perfect Game, Triple Crown Sports and Diamond Nation, Sports At The Beach and Cooperstown Dreams Park (12U only).
Tryouts are held in late October of the previous year. Limited Tryouts may also be held in June to fill any open roster spots for the Fall tournament season.
Team Fees
The West Chester Dragons are proud to be a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and team fees are kept to a minimum.
